Intimacy and publicity overlap in my work. Found objects in which destruction and decay have inscribed themselves provide me with information about my surroundings. Found materials have traces that tell me stories about their context. I take them into the studio and work with them by adding, removing, reworking or translating them into a different material. I am interested in the interrelationship in which bodies influence their surroundings and shape and change themselves through them. In the exhibition space, I show a personal narrative that combines social and autobiographical narratives and is composed of manual labor and industrial materials.
